Poured from a 750mL bottle into a Lost Abbey Teku glass. Acquired in a trade.
Pours a hazy golden orange body with a pretty fluffy, frothy three finger white head that rises out of the glass and reduces slowly, leaving heavy lacing and retention. Looks really nice.
Aromas are mesmerizing, peach and stone fruits galore, you can tell by the aroma that it’s going to be sour. Funky overripe fruit and light oak dominate the nose.
On the tongue is juicy sour stone fruit, peach and apricot intermingled with citrus and lactic acid, followed by delicious notes of oak, funky hay, finishing crisp and tart, farmhouse funk. Mouthfeel is absolutely perfect, medium high carbonation and light body make it refreshing and sip demanding.
I was highly impressed with v015, this is near perfection when it comes to a fruited sour. Will seek out again.
