Bottle Logic Fundamental Observation Vanilla Stout

fundamentalobservation

Fundamental Observation is an Imperial Stout blended with Madagascar Vanilla Beans & Aged in Bourbon Barrels.

Final Rating: 4.68/5
look: 4.5 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.75 | feel: 4.75 | overall: 4.75

Poured from a 500mL bottle into a Bottle Logic Stasis Project snifter. Acquired in a trade.

Pours a deep brown nearly black body with a one finger brown head that reduces at a moderate rate to leave a ring of foam and little lacing.

Aromas deepen as the beer gets warmer.. allowed to warm to room temperature where the bourbon aromas are at their most potent, marshmallow, lots of vanilla too, very nice. Bourbon takes center stage with vanilla in a close seond. Chocolate and coffee are present as well.

On the tongue.. wow – this is fantastic. Tons of vanilla and chocolate, liquid fudge and vanilla blondies, lots of bourbon as well, followed by sweet chocolate/vanilla liquor and a delicious roasty coffee on the follow through, finishing with a syrupy, rich sweet chocolate bourbon flavor.

Mouthfeel is great, this is as rich as fudge, smooth and velvety as cake, and there’s minimal alcohol burn for 14.1%. Low carbonation.

Overall I was not disappointed by FO, this is fantastic and just as advertised. Hype is real yo.
